Coming to FCSP Goes USA? Here’s the official itinerary. All times are local.
Friday May 18 – Detroit
14:30 – FCSP fans can visit the 3rd Man Records Store at 441 W Canfield Street (founded by White Stripes singer Jack White) to meet technical director and FCSP legend Ewald Lienen.
18:45 – In the evening, the entire FCSP delegation will be guests at the Detroit City Distillery Bar (2462 Riopelle Street). The Boys in Brown will take a lot of time for photos, autograph requests and a relaxed chat. Partner Levi’s will also be on hand to customize your denim jackets with FCSP badges.
21:00 – Rise Against will put on this special FCSP Goes USA concert with special guests Turnstile and Toronto’s own Bad Waitress. This concert at St. Andrews Hall is sold out, so hopefully you have your tickets.
Saturday May 19 – Detroit
A lot is going on Day 2 in Detroit
11:30 – The kick-off will be a panel discussion on “Detroit City FC & FC St. Pauli – a different kind of football?” In the Avenue Room on the 21st floor of the Motor City Casino Hotel (2901 Grand River Avenue). Panelists will include FCSP President Oke Göttlich and Ewald Lienen, as well as Sean Mann (Detroit City FC), Christian Weiss (Levi’s) and Drs. Stefan Szymanski (University of Michigan). Admission is free, 200 places are available.
15:30 – At Fowling Warehouse (3901 Christopher Street) you will have the opportunity to meet with an FCSP delegation, try your hand at Fowling, and take in some tailgate action with DCFC supporters. There will be a silent auction held by of the North American FCSP fan clubs of North America – NordAmerikurve – the proceeds will be donated to the Freedom House Detroit. Then we’ll march to Keyworth Stadium with DCFC’s Northern Guard through the streets of Hamtramck in time for the match.
18:00 – Detroit City Football Club vs FC St. Pauli at Keyworth Stadium (3201 Roosevelt Street, Hamtramck) Meet us in the away section. Bring your flags, banners, cheers as the Boys in Brown take on the Boys in Rouge.
21:00 – Join us for “Players Night” at The Magic Stick (4120 Woodward Avenue). Fans and the FCSP crew can finish the evening together. DJ Dagseoul will be spinning and a surprise act is planned. Admission is free, 300 places are available.
Tuesday May 22 – Portland
20:00 – The second game of the US trip against the Portland Timbers II.
22:00 – Post match festivities at the Cider Roit Pub (807 NE Couch Street)
