It’s been a remarkable year – a rollercoaster ride in true FCSP style.
Three coaching changes, a serious flirtation with relegation, a remarkable resurgence, injuries…all were tempered by the steadfast support and hope illustrated by FCSP supporters. And Toronto was no different.
FCSP Toronto Fans First Anniversary
FCSP Toronto Fans celebrated its first anniversary with friends near and far away in August, and took the opportunity to share new stickers, pins and badges. The celebration at our home, Scallywags Bar, included visitors from Hamburg, the new FCSP fan club in Buffalo, and brothers and sisters from TFC – Red Action 117. With ample currywurst, beer and loot from FCSP, a good time was had by all.
Take it to the Streets
FCSP Toronto Fans was also active in the community, taking part in events like the International Women’s Day March and the Toronto Gay Pride Parade. We also took the opportunity to raise funds for organizations like Viva Con Aqua de St. Pauli. We look forward to engaging in more community events in 2018.
We were also lucky to meet many great people here and abroad…on-line and in person.
Connections to old and new FCSP fans in Toronto, like-minded clubs like TFC – Red Action 117, and Downtown Toronto Celtic Supporters Club helped deepen our presence.
New Nordamerika clubs in Buffalo, Calgary and South Bend brought us many new friendships.
And visits to Hamburg introduced us to the FCSP international community and all that it offers…friendship, an exchange of ideas, and shared love for this great football club.
In Toronto we had a lot to celebrate. Here’s to an even better year in 2018 for everyone.
