To every true FC St. Pauli supporter, there’s more than football.
FCSP stands against homophobia, racism, sexism, fascism and hate and actively promotes inclusivity, tolerance and love.
Part of our mission as a club is to support those tenets on the ground, here in Toronto. In addition to watching matches together, we come together for different charitable causes through donations, volunteering and promotion.
Newcomer Kitchen is our charity of choice.
Organized by The Depanneur restaurant on College Street, The Newcomer Kitchen is a nonprofit organization that invites Syrian refugee women to cook a weekly meal in The Depanneur kitchen.
The meals created are sold online for pickup or delivery, and the proceeds shared among the cooks.
Newcomer Kitchen provides a path from the women’s existing skills to social and economic participation. The hope is to create a model that can be replicated with any newcomer group, in any restaurant kitchen, in any city in the world.
FC St. Pauli Toronto Fans’ goals are to support this endeavour and these remarkable, talented women through donations, fundraising events, volunteering and promoting the sale of the wonderful meals they create each week. We’ll also promote their regular workshops and maybe take a few ourselves.
We’ll be collecting any donations at each match viewing so please donate what you can.
